Phipps Center Theater July 25"The Nerd" by Larry Shue
On the evening of his 34th birthday party, Willum Cubbert, an aspiring architect, is visited by Rick Steadman, a man he has never met but who saved his life in Vietnam. Rick turns out to be an incredibly inept, hopelessly dim “nerd,” who outstays his welcome with a vengeance in this outrageous comedy.
Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. as well as Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $22 for adults and $15 for all students with a current ID, with a $2 discount for the opening weekend, and a $2 discount for seniors on the Sunday matinees.

Business Spotlight July 29 Mark your calendar for the next business to business Spotlight on July 29, 5:30-7:30 p.m. on the Grand Duchess of Afton*Hudson Cruise Lines. Docked in Hudson under the Hudson Arch, the Grand Duchess will host a Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau Business Spotlight. The boat will stay docked for the event to allow attendees to come and go as needed. A new member orientation will be held from 5:00 - 5:30 p.m. for the second quarter new members and they will be introduced at 6:00 p.m. at the event.
We'll put the spotlight on: Ascent Companies, Cartridge World USA, Citizens State Bank, RESCO, St. Croix Ecowater, Thrivent Financial, and Western Wisconsin Autism Advocacy and Consulting. Catering will be courtesy of Afton*Hudson Cruise Lines.
This event is open to the public to attend.
