Fall into Hudson as nature bursts with color! Choose from diverse activities and take in the phenomenal views. Make it a Wisconsin weekend to fully appreciate everything autumn has to offer.
A Celebration of Color
Did you know that Hudson, Wisconsin has been a Tree City USA Community for the past decade? One of the best parts about that is celebrating the beautiful array of colors every autumn. And if you enjoy the vibrant change in season as much as we do, you’ll love our top three ways to soak in the season. Once you've gotten your Fall fix, don't forget to warm up with some comfort food!
Float Down the River
Enjoy a Sunday St. Croix River Scenic Cruise with fall colors along the river. Choose from one of the weekly fall tours or create a memorable event and charter a private tour along the scenic St. Croix. Check the calendar or their charter information and get out on the river.
Explore the Beautiful Parks
Head for the parks, we have so many to choose from! Birkmose Park and Prospect Park will give you good views. Lakefront Park is right along our downtown. Homestead Parklands on Perch Lake has a great mix of lake life, walking paths, and playground equipment. And Willow River State Park is famous for its outstanding waterfall.
Hit the Road
Travel through Hudson on a Scenic/Historic tour, or create a customized one. This is a perfect option for those looking to enjoy some beautiful sites from the comfort of a vintage trolley. Lively narration is sure to entertain all.
You can also travel the ‘’Yellowstone Trail’’ in Hudson and St. Croix County. The Yellowstone Trail was the first transcontinental road that ran from Plymouth Rock to Puget Sound in the era before numbered roads and maps.
