Parents love the options in Hudson: unplug in nature, have fun in the pool, or sweet shops and bike trails. (And don't forget you can bring your furry family to some of our destinations, too!)
Parks Galore
We’re a river city twice over, plus a lake or two! In addition to our phenomenal Willow River State Park waterfall, Homestead Parklands offers numerous rentable activities to enjoy on Perch Lake as well as a full playground, hiking paths, and grilling areas.
Bring the family this summer! Pack a picnic at Lakefront Park and enjoy a Concert in the Park. Hudson is home to 11 parks that could easily fill your agenda.
Shops and Stops
Kids love our downtown with our famous shop, Knoke's Chocolate and Nuts, and treats from our world-famous chef at St. Croix Baking Company!

Tour Around Town
Hudson offers several types of local tours, but one of the family favorites has to be Eagle Eye Farm. Just a few minutes south of town, kids get to meet award-winning alpacas, as well as sheep, llamas, pigs, miniature highland cattle and chickens.
The farm provides background and education describing how the Alpacas won awards and what it takes to have them compete. Bring your camera - cute stuff always happens here.
Bring the Bikes
Our early riders really enjoy the paved paths at Lakefront Park in downtown Hudson. Families can get some fresh air and enjoy the view of the river. After a nice ride, you have some great options nearby to explore and refuel.
If you're avid bikers, Hudson's bike route covers 62 miles. Or make Hudson your home base for a bigger biking excursion and add even more routes. Our neighboring cities offer almost 200 additional miles to ride!
The Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Bureau can offer information to visitors and new residents. Planning an adventure, researching an event, or even producing a movie? We can get you what you need. Email us at info@hudsonwi.org.
